Please do me a favour. If I ever come over, do not try to entertain me by turning the television on. I don’t care if it is your favourite episode of "The Big Bang Theory" and I don’t believe you when you suggest that cooperative mode in "Halo" counts as valuable time spent together.

My favourite animal of all time has to be the squirrel.  It has taken me a while to pin point why I like the squirrel over some of my other favourite animals such as deer, wolverines, and beavers; but I now feel confident enough to express why this is and how this came to be.

It’s a Friday night and a group of students have decided to do something radically different from the usual Friday night activities. Did they prank a neighbour’s dorm? No, that is not really unusual. How about visit Hess Village? Let’s be honest, this is far from unusual. What about holding a Friday night study party? While this truly is unusual, it is not the answer that I am looking for.

Congratulations! You are now two and a half months into the school year.  You must have a pretty good familiarity with Redeemer by now.  You can mentally picture which room is 213 and which is 214.  You know all the great places to meet friends, from Williams Coffee Pub to the Rec Center.  Some have also discovered that the prayer rooms are one of the quietest places on campus, unless a volleyball game is in session of course.

I will never forget my first day in Theater 100. Our teacher informed the class that we would spend a lot of time in “dance circles.” Along the outskirts of the room the class formed a circle, with the exclusion of one person placed in the center. The music started and everyone danced however the music led them, including the individual at the center. This person was to act as the inspiration for the movements of the other students.

In an effort to improve the bus system around Redeemer, it is recommended that Redeemer’s shuttle services be cancelled.  It would be better to modify the 34 Upper Paradise so that it loops around Redeemer rather than Hamilton District Christian High School (HDCH).  The only thing that would change about the 34 is that HDCH students would have to meet the bus at Garner Road, not Glancaster Road.  The result would be a dependable and direct bus service between downtown Hamilton and Redeemer.

Here are 34 reasons why the 34 Redeemer Loop should happen:

Dearest First Years,
My name is Aaron and I would like to specially welcome all first years to Redeemer.   I would be surprised if you have heard my name because I am neither staff nor faculty, RA nor Senator.  You most likely have never met me and I may never get to meet you.  Thus marks the beginning of a peculiar relationship that we may share.

I really do love Redeemer.
I am about to complete my fourth year at Redeemer and my love for it has only grown stronger. I chose to spend three of these years on campus because I love this place so much. I would not have taken part in varsity and intramural sports, Bible studies, mission trips, HAing, RAing, and other clubs if I did not love you. I would not declare communal meals on Wednesdays to be an important highlight of my week if I disliked Redeemer.
That being said, I must confess something: I have another love as well.

Saying the Lord’s prayer has not always been easy for me. I have recited it time and time again, but lately I have been having difficulty finishing it. It is a tough prayer to pray. To say to God, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” can be scary in times of crisis. Praying this line has not always been difficult for me to do. The point in the prayer that goes, “give us this day our daily bread,” is usually where I stop and pause, and question whether or not I should be praying those words.
