As I write this I am sitting in Dakar, Senegal, Africa. This past week I have had an opportunity to be blessed and bless others as I worked with missionary kids while their parents attended a week long Missions Conference. Hearing stories from both the kids and their parents has been amazing. As a young adult living in North America, I have had so much available to me.

Too often we put conditions on our trust in God. We think "of course I trust you God, but are you aware that if A happens, then B is no longer going to work out the way it should?” We may trust God for the little things, but then have twangs of doubt over whether He really has the whole plan figured out. We instead trust and rely on others in our lives to give us that sense of security.

Sometimes we go through life thinking we have things pretty much figured out, that we are on the right track in most aspects of life. Recently my faith has been challenged in a specific way though.
