It would seem like an easy thing to define for Christians because we are called to worship in all things; yet there are continually sermons, books and debates about the proper way to worship. We are bombarded with the ideas of the prosperity gospel on the one hand, where your worship gets turned into gold that God rewards you with, and on the other the humorless worship of flagellants eager to beat their body into a bloody mess in an attempt to be humble before God.
