The Hunger Games is a tale that is on the tongues of readers and viewers everywhere. A viral story about a young girl named Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) who is selected for an event called, you guessed it, the hunger games. In this event two individuals from each of the districts in the land are summoned to an "arena" so they can all duke it out in what we’re expecting to be the bloodiest pubescent brawl we’ve ever seen.

Sitting down in a theater usually makes people pretty excited; there are hushed conversations, snarckling (not a word, I realize this) of popcorn bags and usually at least one obnoxious person in the audience who feels the need to broadcast exactly how they feel to the entire theater. However, when I sat down in the IMAX 3D theater in Ancaster, the air felt …lifeless, for lack of a better word. Yet another movie brought from the world of ink and paper, to the silver screen. It features young actors that you probably haven’t heard of unless you’re really into researching every obscure move Hollywood pulls or you’ve been religiously keeping up with youth jeopardy. While the story line is predictable and the audience is able to assume every turn occurring, it still manages to captivate and evoke an emotional response even (and possibly more so) from an older crowd.

Featuring a wide range of skilled players, Redeemer's Badminton team has come from humble beginnings, but is rising in the Ontario university sports scene.

As the Autumn winds blow through our school grounds spreading woolen sweaters and flu germs, it also carries with it a fever of a different sort; basketball fever. With four games for each of the Royals teams under their belts, the season is shaping up to be one of change, but also trial and tribulation. The men have won a quarter of the games, with the majority of them being at home and drawing large crowds; the team certainly can't find fault in Royal loving. The women are off to a shakier start, currently sitting on a 0-4.
