Men's Volleyball Team Nationally Ranked

For just the 3rd time in the history of Redeemer University College, the Royals have a Nationally Ranked team. 

The Men's Volleyball team currently sits 7th in the country in the CCAA (Canadian Colleges Athletic Association) National Rankings. The only other previous National Ranking came in November of 2006 when the Men's Volleyball team was ranked 13th in the Country.

The Men's team is 2-0 on the season with 3-0 victories against the Niagara Knights (25-23, 25-23, 25-21) and the powerhouse Fanshawe Falcons (37-35, 25-17, 30-28). 

The men's team is in action this week as they travel to Sheridan to battle the Bruins onThursday at 8:00pm and then open up their season at home on Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm when they welcome the Saint Clair Saints.

Redeemer Royals Notes:
-Redeemer University College is the smallest school in the OCAA
-The Royals Ryan Talsma currently leads the league in points per game (6.17) and kills per game (4.33).
-The Men's Volleyball team is traveling to Edmonton over Christmas. The exhibition schedule includes matches against Kings University and Grant MacEwan (Host of 2009-2010 National Championships).
-Redeemer University College is the proud host of the 2009-2010 OCAA Men's Volleyball Championships.
-The CCAA has 108 Member-institutions of which Redeemer is ranked 99th in terms of size
