Refresh

As part of the Federal Government’s Knowledge and Infrastructure Program, Redeemer has renovated the Food Services area, moving Williams to a more convenient location along the main corridor, and opening a new food service, Refresh, in the Food Court.

In past years, lineups for Williams were long, particularly with the lunch surge, and students wishing for a coffee or muffin had to endure a lengthy wait or weave their way through the labyrinth of people to place their orders. Now, lineups at Williams are significantly shorter and those placing small orders have quicker service. While there has been some student concern about congested hallways, shorter lines and student willingness to line up along the side of the hall should eliminate the concern.

Refresh promises to increase the quality and variety of food for students. There are more fresh products, healthy choices, locally grown fruits and vegetables, daily stir-fries, fresh deli counter, while continuing to offer many ready-to-go products.
Both Williams and Refresh are making an effort towards being environmentally and socially conscious this year, offering recyclable containers, Fair Trade coffee, and a lug-a-mug program that gives students a ten cent discount for refilling their own coffee mugs.
